Terms of Service

Gazoz ("the Service") is operated by Marmalade Technology Solutions Ltd, a company registered in Israel (company no. 516722238) ("Marmalade", "we", "us", or "our").

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Gazoz applications, websites, and related services. By downloading, installing, or using Gazoz, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Gazoz is a local-first application that records and transcribes meetings on your own device, organizes the results as notes in a knowledge base you control, and lets you run AI workflows and agents over that knowledge base.

Transcription runs on your device and your notes are stored locally in a Git repository that you may choose to sync to your own GitHub account. We do not require your audio, video, or notes to pass through our servers in order for the core application to function.

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

Certain paid features may require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws, including recording, wiretapping, privacy, and data-protection laws. You are solely responsible for obtaining any consent required before recording or transcribing any meeting, call, or conversation.

You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except to the extent permitted by law; (b) use the Service to infringe the rights of others; (c) resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission; or (d) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

Gazoz offers a free plan and paid plans (currently Pro and Enterprise). Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis and renew automatically until cancelled.

You may cancel at any time; your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period, and cancellation does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid except where required by applicable law. We may change our prices with reasonable prior notice, and any change will apply to the next billing cycle.

You retain all rights to your recordings, transcripts, notes, and other content ("Your Content"). Because Gazoz is local-first, Your Content is stored on your device and, where you enable it, in your own GitHub repository or other services you connect. You are responsible for Your Content and for maintaining your own backups.

Our handling of any data you do choose to share with us is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

The Service can integrate with third-party services such as GitHub, Google Calendar, and AI providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them. Enabling an integration may result in data being shared with that third party at your direction.

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Marmalade and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that transcriptions or AI outputs will be accurate, complete, or error-free, and you should not rely on them as a substitute for professional judgment.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marmalade will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred US dollars (USD 100).

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, for example by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The competent courts of the Tel Aviv–Jaffa district will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
